Powertrain 180°

The Powertrain 180° is focused on the location of the powertrains which are usually located in the block with the crankshaft of a motorcycle engine.

The standard layout of motorcycle engines with a drive shaft axis of the crankshaft that is transverse requires that the two gear shafts (the primary one with the clutch and the secondary with the pinion or pulley for the final drive, are located behind the driveshaft from which they are driven.

They are usually driven by a pair of gears.

The clutch assembly is usually mounted on the right while the final drive is located on the left of the engine opposite the clutch assembly.
